Violist Anja Sonderling grew up in Berlin, Germany during the cold war where she began violin lessons at age ten. She earned her degree in Violin Performance at Sonoma State University. Soon after, she followed her passion and switched to playing viola. She worked for seventeen years as a flight instructor and airline pilot before returning to music full time. More recently she fulfilled her dream of becoming a violin maker. She now builds violins and violas and performs chamber music. She plays a viola she made in 2016 modeled on an Italian viola made by Gasparo da Salo before 1609. Her passion is to help others experience more fully the beauty and joy of music.

Cellist Daril Boland studied with Don Garlic at the University of Northern Colorado where he was principal cellist of the University Orchestra. He later studied with Jurgen Delemos at the University of Colorado during which time he was principal cellist of the Boulder Philharmonic. Daril was an elementary school teacher for the last 37 years, during which time he also made four cellos, the first of which took fifth place in the 1984 American Violin Society violin-making competition in Ottowa, Canada. He is performing on the prize-winning cello he completed in 1984.

Violinist Lawrence Sonderling is a long-time actor and member of the Theatricum company. He has appeared in productions at Theatricum Botanicum, the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and A Noise Within. He was a violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for 37 years before retiring in 2014, and now also records audio books for Amazon/Audible. He and his wife also raise chickens.
