Kholodenko has received critical acclaim for his recordings, including being awarded Gramophone’s “Editor’s Choice” for his recording of Grieg’s Piano Concerto and Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 2 (2015).
Founded in 1943, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in Russia and is considered one of the best symphonic ensembles in the country.
