Extraordinary Tales in MusicThe concert begins with a Monologue from a young Edgar Allan Poe (1809-49) at the University of Virginia. He’s just been dismissed from the university because of his drinking and gambling debts. Poe takes us on his literary journey to visit the places he had only read about — and we discover what a wild and vivid imagination he has!
