After a professor charges a student with cheating, the prof is accused of discrimination.
This play was suggested by a true incident. A professor accuses a student of cheating. Suddenly, the professor finds himself being investigated for discrimination. His reputation and livelihood are on the line. What will the investigation’s findings be? The cast includes: Nina Bell, Rasha Elabaji, Andree Mulia, Morry Schorr, Aziz Tazi, Sammie Wayne IV, and Jerry Weil. Art Shulman is playwright and director. An alumnus of Brooklyn College, he went on to earn a Ph.D. in psychology and was a professor at Cal State Northridge for 20 years. He is the author of 26 produced full-length plays, among them Behind the Curtain, The Rabbi and the Shiksa, Bagels, Boxcar and Eugenia, Doubting Thomas, I’ve Got Troubles, and more. As universities are currently making headlines on issues of discrimination and diversity, this play is particularly timely.
