The Caltech-Occidental Wind Orchestra and the Caltech Jazz Band Present the 39th Annual Bandorama.  This event will take place on May 17th and 18th at 8:00 pm in Ramo Auditorium at Caltech.

The Caltech-Occidental Wind Orchestra, directed by Glenn D. Price is proud to present “Wind Band Classics” as part of the annual Bandorama concert.  Featuring the iconic works First Suite in E-flat - Holst, Irish Tune from County Derry - Grainger, and Suite of Old American Dances - Bennett, we are also proud to showcase clarinet soloist Lynne Snyder in a wonderful concerto by British composer Martin Ellerby.  Please join us for an enjoyable concert of favorite classics.

The Caltech Jazz Band, directed by Barb Catlin will close the year with an emphasis on Los Angeles composers, as well as selections showcasing specific sections of the band. The trombones will step forward on John Clayton's swinging, "Sunny Side of the Street," and the saxes are tackling the Supersax arrangement of "Cool Blues." Grad students Sophie Miller, Richard Feder & Muir Morrison and freshman drummer, Tighe Didden, will be featured on arrangements by Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman, Bob Mintzer, Thad Jones and Bert Joris.

Admission is free and no tickets are required.  For more information, please visit pva.caltech.edu or call (626) 395-3295.
