Performers' biographies:

Rick Wilson is a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Caltech in Pasadena and also a performer and authority on historical  flutes.  He has performed with numerous Los Angeles area groups including the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, Con Gioia, the Hollywood Early Music Players, and the Huntington Ensemble. His website about historical flutes has an international reputation.  Rick has given numerous lectures and demonstrations of historical instruments from his collection of 18th and 19th century European and American flutes in the US and in Europe.  He also regularly accompanies readings of poetry, by his wife Kath Abela Wilson and other poets, on "world flutes" including Japanese shakuhachi, Chinese xiao, and Persian ney.

Sonia Lee (harpsichord), a laureate of the Mae & Irving Jurow International Harpsichord Competition and the Montréal Baroque Galaxie-CBC Rising Star Competition, has given performances, lectures and masterclasses in more than eighteen countries on four continents. Her performances have been praised by critics as "nicely rendered" (Early Music America Magazine) and possessing "grace and flair" (Sounding Board, British Harpsichord Society). A performer on the modern piano and various historical keyboards, she has appeared as guest artist at numerous festivals and venues, including the early music festivals of Utrecht, Boston and Costa Rica, Nordic Historical Keyboard Festival, Milwaukee Museum of the Pianoforte, Handel House Museum, and the Schubert Club.
