4th Annual Redondo Beach Baroque Festival, hosted by Riviera United Methodist Church Join us for four spectacular concerts which will highlight the music, instruments, and composers of the Baroque Era. The Festival will begin with a recital on Friday, February 24th at 7:30pm with early music Soprano Dr. Tish Oney performing vocal music by Bach with Los Angeles musicians Rik Noyce, flute, and Philip Smith, organ. On Saturday afternoon, our festival day begins with a 1pm organ recital by Lynnette Ball McGee featuring works by Bach, Scheidt, Walther, Stanley, and Clerambault. The Los Angeles Recorder Orchestra will present a concert at 4pm featuring the large ensemble playing Baroque music arranged for their instruments. The closing concert at 7:30pm will explore choral and vocal masterworks by Purcell, Bach, and Vivaldi, with Dr. Dawn Brooks and Linda Waterman conducting the combined choirs from Riviera and Redondo 1st United Methodist churches, soloists, and Baroque orchestra. All concerts are open to the public with a free will donation at the door. Free childcare available for ages 0-3 with office reservation. For more information call (310) 378-9273
