WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED:
Steve Yockey’s VERY STILL AND HARD TO SEE
Directed by Michael Matthews

April 24, 2012, Hollywood, CA

Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman proudly announce the third offering of The Production Company’s 2012 season: the world premiere of Steve Yockey’s VERY STILL AND HARD TO SEE. Helmed by director Michael Matthews and an all-star production team including lighting design by Tim Swiss and sound design by Tony Award nominee Cricket S. Myers.   This exciting production will run June 1 through July 7, 2012 at The Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave., Hollywood, CA 90038.

Originally commissioned and work-shopped by American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, this darkly humorous new work inventively spins elements inspired by modern ghost stories with an exploration of themes from the Japanese folk tales "Of a Mirror & a Bell" and "Yuki-onna". Everyday situations from riding in a hotel elevator to preparing for a blind date take on supernatural qualities. The captivating characters encounter mystical forces that collapse the distance between the real and the surreal. This magical, funny, and sometimes mind-bending creation by acclaimed playwright Steve Yockey will take you on an exhilarating, visceral journey.

The cast includes an astounding array of talent in multiple roles including Tiffany Cole, Andrew Crabtree, Coleman Drew, Katie Skelton, Adeye Sahran, CB Spencer, Michael Tauzin,  and James Louis Wagner.   Assistant Direction and Fight Choreography is by Jen Albert, and the play is produced by Co-Artistic Directors T L Kolman and August Viverito for The Production Company.
