San Diego Dances in Sherman Heights

San Diego Dances in Sherman HeightsThis spectacular event takes place at the Sherman Heights Community Center, where the performance will travel from the upstairs Ballroom, when the doors open and a dance is already happening, down to the outdoor parking lot/courtyard of this unexpectedly designed building with its many surprising nooks and crannies.

Featuring The PGK DANCE Project performing works by: Khamla Somphanh, Gina Bolles-Sorensen, Erin Landry, Kymmi Kellems, Peter G. Kalivas, Founding Director PGK DANCE with Guest Artist LITVAKdance.

PGK DANCE has presented some of the best in dance in alternative, unexpected locations and spaces to accomplish 3 distinct goals:

1) Make access to professional, diverse dance more affordable by collaborating and partnering with donated/discounted spaces, places and sites.

2) Bring dance out of the theater and directly to the people particularly those who don't go or can't get to the theater or find it prohibitive in other ways.

3) Make dance relevant to more people through programs with a variety of styles, aesthetics and points of view that align with and are of interest to the public.
