LEWIS WILKENFELD (Director) led Cabrillo Music Theatre (now 5-Star) from 2005-2016, producing 42 shows, receiving 52 Ovation Award nominations and 8 wins, and was recognized by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle with the Joel Hirschhorn Award for Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theatre. Lewis’ 23 Cabrillo shows as Director include: Children of Eden, A Funny Thing…Forum, Mary Poppins, Oklahoma! (both times), Bye Bye Birdie (both times!), Annie, The Sound of Music, Cinderella, The King and I, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and The Music Man. Lewis has directed over 60 plays and musicals nationwide, collaborates with writers on the development of new musicals, and is a popular guest speaker/educator in schools and workshops, with a specific emphasis on educating, advising, and inspiring new generations of artists in the performing arts.    

HEATHER CASTILLO (Choreography) is an Assistant Professor of Performing Arts, Dance at California State University Channel Islands where she was recently honored with the President’s Award for Teaching Innovation. She is establishing a program that emphasizes the American multicultural dance arts and The Commercial Dance Oral History Database and Archive. Theatrical choreography credits include: Mame (MTG) Manson’s Girl’s (NMI) High Society (MTG) The Little Mermaid (CMT), Meet Me In St. Louis (CMT), Annie (CMT), The Sound of Music (Ovation Nomination Best Musical, CMT), Cinderella (CMT), The King and I (CMT), She Loves Me (SBCLO), 1940’s Radio Hour (SBCLO), Seussical (SBCLO), The Fix (MTG & ICT), Loving Repeating, Connecticut Yankee (ICT) and Woyzeck (SBETC). Heather has received critical acclaim from the LA Times, Backstage and in 2009 received the Best Choreography award from JENNIFER LIN (Musical Director) works as a music director, accompanist, and teacher throughout Southern California. She is the resident music director for Color and Light Theatre Ensemble. Recent productions include Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (Celebration Theatre - Ovation Nominee for Musical Direction), Lizzie (Color and Light Theatre Ensemble), Hit the Wall (LA LGBT Center), A Little Night Music (Colony Theatre), Promises, Promises (Musical Theatre Guild), and The Spidey Project (Theatre Unleashed).

TIM MINCHIN (Music & Lyrics) is a musician, actor, comedian, writer and director. He's toured extensively in the US, UK and Australia, performing solo, with bands, and with symphony orchestras. He's released five DVDs, the most recent recorded with the Heritage Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. Screen acting credits include “Robin Hood Origins” (2018), “Secret River” (2015), and “Californication” (Season 6 - 2013). Stage acting credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Sydney Theatre Company) and Jesus Christ Superstar (UK/Australia tours). Tim has written extensively for theatre, and is the composer-lyricist of Matilda the Musical (with Dennis Kelly) and Groundhog Day the Musical (with Danny Rubin).

DENNIS KELLY (Adaptation) Work for theatre includes Debris, Osama the Hero, After the End, Love and Money, Taking Care of Baby, DNA, Orphans, The Gods Weep, and The Ritual Slaughter of Gorge Mastromas. He has written the book for the new musical of Pinocchio which opened at the National Theatre at the end of 2017, and in 2018 his new play Girls and Boys opened at the Royal Court. His plays have been performed worldwide and to date have been translated into nearly forty languages. For television he co-wrote and co-created “Pulling” and wrote and created “Utopia.”  For film, he wrote the screenplay for “Black Sea,” directed by Kevin MacDonald. He also wrote the book for the Olivier and Tony winning Matilda the Musical. In 2010, DNA became a set text on the GCSE English Literature syllabus.

The Cast for ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA features Lucy Bollier and Olivia Marcum as Matilda, Nicholas Mongiardo-Cooper as Miss Trunchbull, Janna Cardia as Mrs. Wormwood, James Larsen as Mr. Wormwood, Katie Deshan as Miss Honey, Nick McKenna as Michael, Deanna Anthony as Miss Phelps and Ben Carroll as the Escape Artist/Doctor. The Ensemble features (in alphabetical order): John Paul Batista, J.B. Bauersfeld, Jared Cardiel, Renee Cohen, Joah Ditto, Maya Galipeau, Josh Golombek, Iyana Hannans, Tyler Luff, Carolyn Lupin, Julia Marley, Luke Pryor, Monica Ricketts, Nico Ridino, Glory Rose, Drew Rosen, Marcello Silva, Taylor Lynda Thomas, Tyler Marie Watkins and Olivia Zenetzis.

The Design Team of ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA will feature: Lighting Design by Jose Santiago, Sound Design by Jonathan Burke, Costume Design by Noelle Raffy, Props Design by Kevin Williams, Hair and Wig Design by Jessica Mills, Make-Up Design by Debbie Bryan  The Production Stage Manager is Talia Krispel.
