"As good as the original, maybe a tad better!" ~Broadwayworld.com Critic's Choice! Directed by award-winner Ken Sawyer, with an expert cast, this is not your mother's Deathtrap. It's the hottest, sexiest version ever, and it's taking LA theatre by storm. It's a twisted tale that'll keep you guessing-and shrieking-'til the end!
Ira Levin’s celebrated 1978 play, Deathtrap, was one of Broadway’s longest running hits and is still performed worldwide. It’s been 20 years since Angelenos have seen Deathtrap on stage, an omission to be corrected by a stunning new production at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Davidson/Valentini Theatre. Ken Sawyer, an award-winning director with a devilish gift for suspense, pilots the production, which opens on March 30 for a six-week run. The expert cast includes: Brian Foyster, Cynthia Gravinese, Burt Grinstead, Elizabeth Herron, Carl J. Johnson, and Stephen Mendillo.
This is not your mother's Deathtrap it's the hottest, sexiest version ever! Filled with plays-within-plays-within plays, countless "heart-in-the-mouth" shocks, and a dose of dark humor, Deathtrap is expertly crafted to make you laugh and then jolt you out of their seat!
