Fusion: A Performance of Dance and Live Orchestra

For the first time in the history of the College of the Arts, the Cole Conservatory of Music and the Department of Dance collaborate on a concert of live music and dance.

Choreographers Colleen Dunagan, Susan McLain, Sophie Monat and Lorin Johnson, along with guest choreographer Holly Johnston create new work inspired by the expert performance of the Cole Conservatory Orchestra. Keith Johnson’s dance film, “Life in Security,” will also be presented. Featured composers will include: Steve Reich, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Claude Debussy. Johannes Müller-Stosch, Music Director and Conductor of the Cole Conservatory Orchestra, conducts and co-directs this concert, in tandem with Concert Director, Lorin Johnson, Assistant Professor in the Dance Department.
