City Ballet of Los Angeles

With a mixture of classical and contemporary dance, City Ballet of Los Angeles presents a repertoire of visionary delight in a company reflective of the many hues illuminating the world. The Company portrays the creative union of art and culture in Los Angeles with a mixture of classical and contemporary dance.

The Company was founded in 2003 by its artistic director, Robyn Gardenhire, following a thriving and gratifying career dancing with such companies as the Cleveland Ballet, Karole Armitage, American Ballet Theatre at the request of Mikhail Baryshnikov, and then his
White Oak Project where she worked with star choreographers such as Lar Lubivitch and Mark Morris.

In this performance, the Company will bring the music of J. S. Bach and John Coltrane together in one program complete with a live 5-piece jazz band.
