Alison Freeman in "Dorothy Fields Forever"

Alison Freeman in – Los Angeles performer Alison Freeman presents her new show, “Dorothy Fields Forever” on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 2 PM at Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert.  The show features songs written by Broadway songwriter Dorothy Fields, accompanied on piano by Greg Schreiner. Tickets are $15 cash at the box office that opens at 1 PM.

Alison Freeman’s show, “Dorothy Fields Forever”, focuses on prolific songwriter, Dorothy Fields, who began her career in 1928 composing over 400 songs and working with some of the biggest names on Broadway. A few of her best-known songs include The Way You Look Tonight, A Fine Romance, On The Sunny Side Of The Street, Don’t Blame Me, I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, and I’m In The Mood For Love. Ms. Fields won numerous Tony Awards for shows she wrote and co-wrote the book and music for including “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Redhead”, “Sweet Charity” and “Seesaw”. Much of Dorothy’s work became Hollywood films and winning Oscar’s for Best Song. About Alison Freeman, she studied in New York to be an opera singer, but now spends her time singing the music of the 1920s and 30s in Los Angeles. She also runs a theatre program called The Troupe, teaching inner-city kids to sing, dance, act, and bringing performing arts to the Los Angeles Unified School District. Alison’s voice and comedic style are perfect for Dorothy Field’s material that will include her musical director, Greg Schreiner on piano
